This series of watercolor paintings was inspired by the resilience of some of California's native and invasive plant species. Resilience was the theme I chose when thinking of where these pieces would be hung up. The City of Hope Cancer treatment center put out a call for art to fill their healing hallways full of the artwork of local artists. I hope my artwork continues to inspire those patients to keep pushing forward, breathe through the challenges and be as resilient as our plant life in California, thriving in harsh heat and surviving the droughts.
